The Nevada Institute for Children’s Research & Policy (NICRP) and Nevada Afterschool Network (NAN) are looking to fill multiple positions to focus on Nevada out-of-school time (OST) programs by working with key partners to develop, lead, coordinate, and drive collaboration, quality, and advocacy initiatives. These are temporary, grant-funded positions. 

Outreach & Advocacy Specialist: Part-time or Full-time
  • Strengthen and broaden NAN's reach statewide utilizing outreach and advocacy efforts to school, community, and business leaders as well as elected officials.
  • Identify and garner support for policy initiatives meant to enhance and sustain OST programs in Nevada.
  • Experience as an administrator in a Nevada school district highly recommended.
  • FULL POSITION DESCRIPTION

Program Lead: Full-time, multiple positions available
  • Coordinate and lead quality improvement efforts for OST programs across the state,  including the development of a school-age QRIS system.
  • Organize and facilitate a youth and adult ambassador program with a focus on advocacy for OST programs.
  • Conduct professional development and training opportunities for OST professionals.
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience working in afterschool/OST settings is required.

  • Support quality improvement efforts of OST programs across the state.

Work Environment

​These positions are open to any individual residing within the state of Nevada; relocation to Las Vegas is not required. These position offers flexible scheduling, the potential for a hybrid work environment, professional development, tuition assistance, and health care benefits. The work environment is mostly indoors and climate controlled with moderate noise levels as found in office settings. Occasional attendance at outreach events or meetings around the community can include both indoor and outdoor settings.
