The 2027 Nevada Afterschool Showcase & McKinney-Vento & Foster Care Summit brings together afterschool and out-of-school-time professionals, McKinney-Vento and Foster Care Liaisons, educators, and other youth-serving professionals from across Nevada.

This year’s theme, Every Connection Matters, celebrates the relationships that help young people and families feel supported, connected, and empowered. Join us for two days of learning, collaboration, practical strategies, and opportunities to connect with others working to support Nevada’s youth.

Keynote Speakers

Get ready for two unforgettable keynotes at this year’s conference!

Thursday: Lesley Nicole, a youth suicide prevention specialist and founder of Just One Can, will kick off the conference with an inspiring and practical keynote focused on the power of trusted adults, strengthening protective factors, recognizing concerns early, and supporting youth before a crisis.

Friday: Ryan McCarthy, an experienced educator and speaker, will close out the conference with an engaging and interactive keynote. Ryan brings expertise in restorative practices, social-emotional learning, safe and responsible technology use, and innovative youth development.

Presenter Request for Proposals -Opening 9/14/26

We are seeking engaging breakout session presenters to share practical strategies, tools, and resources with conference attendees. Strong proposals will provide tangible takeaways that participants can apply in their programs, schools, and communities.
